Smoothly Close Tabs

Well, this page didn’t last very long.

That’s because Smoothly Close Tabs  now animates opening tabs, so it needed a new name:  Liquid Tabs.

There is a bug, when after some time of using FX add-on stops working.

Thank you for the report. I have run into similar problems as well with my “Home” and “Work” profiles which have many other extensions loaded. The effect seems to execute more reliably — seems like indefinitely — on Firefox profiles with fewer extensions.

Do you happen to have the TabMixPlus extension installed? It appears to be the primary cause of slow/no animation on my home computer.

No, I have Tabberwocky instead. But I noticed something else too: animation speed isn’t always the same, as well as smoothnes.

Will there be a “Smoothly Open Tabs” soon? That would be very nice!

This is a popular request. I will try to add this capability in a future release.

        Hi,

        Yeah, that would be awesome!

        Good work, keep going! 🙂

This is a very nice add-on. Maybe you would consider making it available for Thunderbird also?
